S.T. Yau High School Science Award (Asia)

A research-based competition for the brightest students to emerge early and fast. Winning teams will compete in YHSA Finale with cash prize of up to RMB150,000.
• The S.T. Yau High School Science Award (YHSA) was initiated by Professor Shing-Tung Yau in 2008 and has been running successfully for over a decade in Mainland China. More than half of the awardees have received admission into Tsinghua University, Peking University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, Princeton University, etc. in the last decade.
• YHSA(Asia) winning teams will be nominated to participate in the YHSA Finale with cash prize of up to RMB150,000 for each subject category. Our 2019 YHSA(Asia) teams obtained excellent results in YHSA Finale last year (https://yashk.org.hk/yhsa-%3E-result-beijing).
• In our first year a total of 101 teams from 7 regions joined YHSA(Asia). Participants have gained invaluable and eye-opening experiences from the Award. Their outstanding research work have drawn attention from local universities (https://yashk.org.hk/yhsa-%3E-result).
• Participation is easy. Research reports that have been submitted/awarded in the past or concurrently with other competitions, if declared as such in the research report, will be accepted by YHSA(Asia).
